Welcome to Rizing Starz International
Rizing Starz International is a charitable non-governmental organization with the sole aim of assisting orphans and vulnerable children around the world by providing food to children in orphanages and abandoned children’s homes to meet their basic needs. The fact is most children in these places often do not stand a chance of breaking out of the cycle of poverty. That is why we have taken it upon ourselves to make a difference in our own small way. We do this by helping local orphanages help orphans and vulnerable children one at a time particularly Ghana, West Africa.
Founder Carol McIntyre was traveling in Ghana and found herself face to face with street children as young as 6 year olds selling sachet water on the dangerous streets of Accra to make a living. Touched by their plight, she together with Rebecca, a friend she met in Ghana decided to help in their own small way. Thus 1 year later, Rizing Starz International was “birthed”. CAROL’S STORY
In October 2015, Rizing Starz International decided to start out small by piloting our “monthly food distribution/supplementary project” by choosing one vulnerable and abandoned children’s home situated in Buduburam. The home is located 44 kilometers west of Accra in the Gomoa East District of Central Region, Ghana. The project aimed to provide food and clean water monthly to the home to improve the well-being of the children and to supplement what they have.
