Soup Kitchen for the Orphans
Food sustains life, but it can quickly be taken for granted. We often forget how blessed we are to have hot meals daily while homeless children struggle to survive. They lack the resources to buy, harvest, or obtain the most basic food that could satisfy their hunger. But through your kind generosity, last October, the Rizing Starz International was able to hold a Soup Kitchen Program for the orphans in Ghana.
You may be wondering what a Soup Kitchen is all about. Though it may sound like a regular feeding program, it’s a project to keep the children get better physically with a healthier diet composed of rice and lentils, amidst a much more beautiful environment.
Your funding has helped us provide the essential needs, such as cups, plates, cutlery, as well as the ingredients for the healthy food that was served.
Programs like these are not possible without your generous donations, and even a few dollars can make a world of difference. If you thought about donating before, now is the right time. A few minutes of your time can literally save a life.
Most orphaned children are not receiving the right nutrients required daily to build a stronger immune system, thus, many fall ill due to malnutrition. But through the Soup Kitchen program, organizations like the Rizing Starz are providing the right nutrition for the children with the help of your donations.
The Soup Kitchen is still a developing program and will continue to grow due to the increasing number of children we’re providing for. It’s been wonderful to be a part of its growth, and we’d like to thank all of the donors and volunteers for the contribution you’ve made to the children.
